Group Meeting #10

All present. Holly has completed the second mapping task and Tresha has done her part of the accommodation, Holly will finish her bit by Friday. We have begun creating the magazine on Publisher and planning the layout and have sorted an order for the magazine. We are editing as we put sections into the magazine. We will meet on Monday to continue doing the layout. 

Group Meeting #9

Ashleigh and Fiona met in class. We are waiting for the second map and a revision on a couple of pieces from Holly and Tresha. We are planning on sorting out the layout in our next meeting this Friday.

Group Meeting #8

In class, Ashleigh and Fiona present, Holly and Tresha absent. As far as we know Peiyi is no longer in our group so we are picking up the assignments that she hasn’t done.

We have completed all of our assignments, except Attractions in England that Peiyi was supposed to do; Ashleigh will now do this. Fiona will add opening times and prices for the selected attractions in London, Scotland and Wales. She will also research the Historic Places Trust and/or the National Trust to add in a piece on membership and discounts. 

We will let Holly and Tresha know what they need to do, this is finishing the map for task 2, adding opening times and prices to what they did for Ireland and Northern Ireland and fixing the sporting events and festivals so they cover the whole UK.

We’ve decided the magazine will be an informative magazine in the sections mentioned earlier, we won’t have advertising. We also have a rough outline for the table of contents for our magazine. 

Group Meeting #7

Everyone is present except Peiyi. We have gathered together and critiqued all our individual tasks from the previous week and also emailed them to Ashleigh so they can all be merged together into a article for the magazine. The task we were assigned was attractions and events around the UK, this being the last activity for information for the magazine. Our next step will be working out the overall design of the magazine using Microsoft Publisher. After our meeting today we won't see each other for two weeks as it is Polytech holidays. Throughout the holidays we will be communicating with each other and finishing the work we critiqued at this meeting. 

Ashleigh - 10 attractions in London

Holly - 5 attractions in Northern Ireland and 4 Sporting attractions

Fiona - 5 attractions in Wales and Scotland

Tresha - 5 attractions in Eire and 6 other attractions

Peiyi - 10 attractions in England (to be confirmed)

Group Meeting #6

Today in class Ashleigh, Fiona and Peiyi were present. Ashleigh allocated the final tasks on attractions and events and emailed them to everyone. We also looked at travel brochures on the UK and discussed ideas for layout. We will group the attractions and information by country, Scotland, England etc rather than all attractions together then all the accommodation as we think this will be easier for the reader.

We will continue critiquing each other’s work this week and doing our assigned tasks. We are also deciding what articles we will add to to turn into feature articles. 

Group Meeting #5

All present except Peiyi, she put in apologies. Today we are editing and critiquing the work we have done so far and checking that everything is up to date. Everyone looked through each other’s work and gave their opinions and improvements. We are still waiting for tasks from Peiyi so we couldn’t edit everything. 

Group Meeting #4

Meeting during class, present Holly, Ashleigh and Fiona. Tresha is working and Peiyi is sick. We allocated tasks for the travel information section of our magazine. Holly has emailed Peiyi and will tell Tresha so they know what they have to do. We have scheduled a meeting for next week where we will go over this weeks tasks and read through previous sections to check the writing. We will also start looking at the layout for the magazine.
