Group Meeting #4

Meeting during class, present Holly, Ashleigh and Fiona. Tresha is working and Peiyi is sick. We allocated tasks for the travel information section of our magazine. Holly has emailed Peiyi and will tell Tresha so they know what they have to do. We have scheduled a meeting for next week where we will go over this weeks tasks and read through previous sections to check the writing. We will also start looking at the layout for the magazine.

Group Roles

Hi I'm Peiyi. I will do the destination research for our group. I will also my part of the group tasks. I hope we can get the magazine done in time.

Group Guidelines

We’ve made a few guidelines for our group:

• Everyone needs to turn up for meetings or let the group know in advance if you can’t and why. 
• Everyone completes their individual tasks for the next group meeting.
• Don’t be afraid to critique and offer constructive criticism for each others work.
• Everyone participates and don’t leave it to one person.

Goals:

• Get everything done on time
• Complete the weekly tasks
• Have a magazine that we are all happy with at the end!

Group Meeting #3

All here. Everyone has completed their part of the transport assignment, Peiyi was confused about it so we’ve sorted that out and she is completing her bit. Everyone else has emailed their section to everyone so they can be edited. Today we’re looking through all the work to make sure that we’re on track. We won’t be having a meeting next week as we are all up to date and Polytech is closed over Easter. So we will get back to the blog on the 3^rd April!

Group Meeting #2

We met for our second group meeting on 13 March, Peiyi put in her apologies, as she is sick. We discussed our second task, mapping and describing key geographical features of the UK and Eire. We had already split the task into 5 and each of us had a section to do. We emailed our sections to Holly who will again collate these and put them onto a map. Thanks Holly! We will put our paragraphs, with information on the places, after the map and on a separate page to make the layout easier.

Hi my name is Tresha and I am a group member of the Destination Gems, for my role with this I am helping design the magazine with Holly, along with doing my own personal assignments for the magazine. I feel that our group is working well and am excited to see the end result.

Hi I’m Fiona, my main role is under the title of journalist. This basically entails most of the writing and collating of the writing with Holly. I am also overseeing the blog and postings so that we are up-to-date with our work, checking that the group is happy with what I write of course! We’re off to a good start and everyone is keen to do this well.
